Rep. Joe Courtney, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut’s 2nd district, shared updates on social media concerning local development projects and a recent aviation tragedy. Rep. Courtney's remarks highlight both community progress and expressions of sympathy for those affected by the crash.

On January 29, 2025, Rep. Courtney posted about his visit to Oxoboxo Lofts in Montville alongside Mayor Lenny Bunnell and State Senator Cathy Osten. He noted that "the mill conversion is bringing 72 new mixed income housing units to the town." The project was made possible through federal funding, illustrating its importance to the community. The following day, on January 30, Rep. Courtney expressed condolences regarding an aviation incident involving American Airlines passengers and Army soldiers who lost their lives.
