On November 19, 2024, Rep. Courtney congratulated Norwich Free Academy social studies teacher Jessica Chapman for receiving a national Milken Educator Award. He commended her dedication to creating an engaging classroom environment for her students in the 9th and 12th grades. On November 20, he acknowledged the CT National Guard’s 103rd Airlift Wing for being recognized with the Major General Stanley F.H. Newman Award as the top airlift wing in the Air National Guard. He expressed his long-standing belief in their excellence which was affirmed by this recognition from the National Guard Bureau.
