On March 3, 2025, Rep. Joe Courtney highlighted the case of Gabe D’Alatri, a Marine veteran and former IRS project manager from Vernon. According to Courtney, D’Alatri was "unjustly fired" as part of what he described as Elon Musk’s "indiscriminate federal worker purge."
