Fairview Is Grateful To Chelsea Groton Foundation For $5,000 Grant
Fairview will use the $5,000 grant to purchase new main entrance doors for the Health Center.
GROTON, September 2, 2022 – Fairview, a non-profit Life Plan community is grateful to Chelsea Groton Foundation for awarding the community a $5,000 grant. This grant will go towards purchasing new main entrance doors for Fairview’s Health Center.
Executive Director, Billy Nelson shares, “Our main entrance into the health center is of vital importance to our organization for several reasons including infection control and security. As a result of the pandemic and with approximately 500 visitors each month, we must exercise greater control upon entrance, including the adequate screening for COVID-19.”
Fairview is highly regarded as a Five-Star rated health center by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Recently they earned a perfect score with a Five-Star rating in health inspection, staffing levels, and quality measures. “Only four other health centers in the state of Connecticut and approximately 210 health centers in the nation have achieved this status. This puts Fairview in the top 2.4% and 1.5% of health centers in Connecticut and across the nation respectively. Our exceptional team deserves the credit for this accomplishment,” Mr. Nelson shares proudly. Fairview’s Health Center was constructed in 1976 and has 110 licensed beds. They provide long-term medical care, short-term and outpatient rehabilitation services, memory and hospice care.
