ConnectiCare Brings New Virtual Primary Care Program to Members

Individual and Small Group Members Now Have Teladoc Primary360 at No Additional Charge

ConnectiCare, a leading health plan in Connecticut, launched the  Teladoc Primary360 program designed to expand access to primary care and  key specialty services to all individual and fully insured small group  members on July 1, 2022, at no additional premium charge. Members now  have access to primary care providers, dermatologists, and mental health  professionals via phone, video, or messaging through a mobile  application on a smartphone or tablet. This new program provides  dedicated physician-led care teams that work with members throughout  their health care journey by creating a personalized care plan.

Board-certified doctors provide annual exams as well as routine checkups  and care for ongoing wellness needs like flu, allergies, sinus  infections, rashes, sore throats, and much more. Medically necessary  prescriptions are sent to the member’s pharmacy of choice same day.  Members can also have dermatologists review skin images, make diagnoses,  and provide personalized treatment plans.

The new program includes virtual care for a wide variety of mental  health issues, in addition to primary care and dermatology services.  Psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists are available for  appointments seven days a week. Mental health services include ongoing  access to diagnostic services, talk therapy, and prescription medication  management, when appropriate. Members can establish relationships with  the mental health professionals of their choice while enjoying the  convenience of receiving care from anywhere; home, work, or when  traveling.

“ConnectiCare is committed to achieving the state’s goal of expanding  primary care. We’re also meeting our members’ expectations to receive  care when and where they need it. By offering the Teladoc Primary360  program, we are making it easy and convenient for our members to  establish relationships with primary care physicians, mental health  providers, and other health care professionals. Our members can now take  control of their health and the health of their family members with the  convenience of not having to overcome the obstacles associated with  in-person visits like waiting weeks for appointments, missing work, and  driving long distances,” said Karen Moran, President of ConnectiCare.

“I’m delighted to expand Teladoc Health’s relationship with ConnectiCare  to include new virtual primary care services. Offering Teladoc  Primary360 is an example of how ConnectiCare is expanding access to care  and helping members get the care they need when and where they need  it,” said Jason Gorevic, Chief Executive Officer at Teladoc Health.

A copayment or other cost share may apply. Members should check their plan documents for details.
