Better Together CT Inc Farm & Sanctuary Will Host Annual Hempstock Music Festival in North Stonington, CT on August 6, 2022

On Saturday August 6, 2022, Better Together CT Inc Farm &  Sanctuary will be hosting the Annual Hempstock Music Festival in North  Stonington, CT  celebrating sustainability, regenerative farming and the  importance of working with the whole hemp plant. Meet experts in the  field and other hemp related industry experts from UCONN, URI and  others while enjoying fantastic music at a beautiful organic country  farm.

Join us at our family friendly musical event full of education and great  eats created by the Better Together CT Inc Farm & Sanctuary. Our  produce is grown with love organically and sustainably using  regenerative farming techniques.

Additionally, visit our array of vendors booths, a spotlight on Enjoy 8  local musical and dance artists plus mingle with our 6 featured  speakers  from 12 to 9 p.m.   Consult with our vendor partners to learn  about everything hemp: from soil to oil in a fun filled family friendly  environment.

The real beneficiary of the day focuses on the primary mission of  @Better Together CT Inc Farm & Sanctuary and the Country Wellness  Center @yourcountrydoctor.com  are the Veterans/First Responders who  have access to free Veteran programs at our facility.

HempstockCT is held in North Stonington, CT, and is an annual event on  track to raise $20,000 for Veteran programs addressing PTSD chronic  pain, anxiety, and other issues caused by trauma and prolonged periods  of stress, but it’s also an exercise in community-building,  sustainability and a carbon neutral future. A lack of  community/connection is the primary root cause of opioid and other  addiction, as well as suicide.

We also have a goal of raising $10,000 to help cover costs related to  taking care of our mini-herd. Money raised for this purpose will be used  to purchase  “Staples for the Stable” - Including but not limited to  grain, hay, bedding, brushes, feed, supplements and other care items  and “Medical for the Mini’s” - Veterinary Care for the mini-herd and any  other rescued animals residing on the farm.

Most of the musicians are Connecticut and Rhode Island-based. Yao  CupaTea Blues will be playing at the welcome gate. Niki Gambrell Shadow  Dancer Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation and EPTN drummers will open the show  with a blessing, drumming and shadow dance. The lineup includes  Hartford’s Mixashawn Rozie showcasing the album Metaphysical tourist,   Dopey Lopes and the UpAllNight Band (CT, RI), Hannah’s Field (CT),  North Stonington, CT native Mike Crandall Band, renowned  singer-songwriters the Rowan Brothers (California), the Sandman  (Westerly, RI), Davey Dread and Soulshot (MA, RI, NY).

Stefana Pecher is the founder of the festival and Better Together CT Inc  and is thrilled to bring for 2022.  “We had our first Hempstock  Festival last year and it was a tremendous success. This year we are  excited to highlight scientists and experts in the field as speakers so  that anyone can ask questions and learn how to grow organically,  sustainably and in a regenerative fashion while listening to great  music and supporting a great cause. “Davey Dread and Soulshot is a huge  supporter of Better Together CT Inc Farm & Sanctuary,” Pecher says.  “All these artists are wonderful!. The support from the musicians is  most important. Local businesses have been incredible as well.” The  official main sponsors are The Umbrella Factory, Country Wellness  Center, Schleidt Works, Agrosci and Mohegan Sun but many other  businesses have offered support.

The goal is to raise enough money to allow veterans holistic wellness  services and equine therapy at no cost” Pecher says. About a third of  that amount has already been raised before the festival happens, through  ticket sales, sponsorships and online fundraising.

The costs of producing the festival, including paying the bands, is  being kept separate from the Better Together CT Inc fundraising goal.  Pecher insists that “it’s important to me that bands are being paid  though some bands and everyone else involved is donating their time to  this great cause! Better Together CT Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit  organization. Country Wellness Center www.yourcountrydoctor.com services  include the hyperbaric oxygen chamber, floatpod sensory deprivation  chamber, infrared sauna, haloTherapy are being offered through free  veteran programs @www.bettertogetherct.org
