There were three gas stations in cities across New London County selling diesel at the lowest price of $3.99 per gallon in the week ending Apr. 20, according to GasBuddy.com.

The average cost of diesel in cities within New London County was $4.19 per gallon.

Of the 51 gas stations in cities within New London County, 10 offer diesel.

The average price of diesel in Connecticut was $4.18, compared to $4.17 the week before.

Experts predict gasoline prices could drop below $3 this year before rebounding closer to $4 by year’s end. GasBuddy forecasted a national average of $3.38 per gallon, down from $3.51. An outlook published in late 2023 suggests that gas rates will continue to fall in 2024.
