111 coaches at institutions in New London County earned $56,507 on average in 2022

New London County’s 111 coaches earned an average salary of $56,507 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at Connecticut post-secondary schools during 2022.

New London County is home to three post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Connecticut College stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $63,945.

Male coaches of men's teams received $51,332 on average in New London County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $54,090.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
