The Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center (Food Center) will host five drive-thru Mobile Pantries in the month of June. The Food Center is a program operated by United Way of Southeastern Connecticut.
As part of the Eastern CT Health Collaborative’s new Mobile Health Hub, other social service agencies will be on-site at all of the following Mobile Pantry deployments to provide additional information, support, and resources. You do not have to be in need of food in order to visit the other agencies and vice versa:
- Wednesday, June 1, 5-6 p.m.
Stonington High School • 176 South Broad Street, Pawcatuck

- Wednesday, June 8, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Wequonnoc Elementary School, 155 Providence Street, Taftville
Other agencies on-site: Generations Family Health Center, Madonna Place, Diabetic & Hypertension Relief
- Thursday, June 16 , 4-5:30 p.m.
Griswold High School, 267 Slater Avenue, Griswold
Other agencies on-site: TVCCA, Uncas Health District, Madonna Place, and UCFS Healthcare
- Wednesday, June 22, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Jennings Elementary School, 50 Mercer Street, New London
Other agencies on-site: Madonna Place, TVCCA, and UCFS Healthcare
- Friday, June 24, 12:30-2 p.m.
St. John’s Christian Church, 346 Shennecossett Road, Groton
Other agency on-site: TVCCA
Anyone in need of food is welcome to attend and no paperwork is necessary. Guests are asked to remain in their car and open their trunk or have their backseat door unlocked where volunteers can place the food. Items distributed include protein, fresh produce, and nonperishable food items.
The Food Center provided the equivalent of 3.1 million meals last year through the emergency food network of programs in New London County and its Mobile Pantry.
