Ace Hardware of Waterford, Connecticut, is recognizing its anniversary.
Located at 40 Boston Post Road, the store celebrates its anniversary Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29.
“Our mission is to provide customers with the neighborly advice and assistance they have come to expect from Ace,” Ace officials said, according to a press release. “We look forward to becoming a helpful and valuable neighbor to the community, both inside and outside the walls of our store.”
According to Waterford Ace Hardware's Katherine Rose, the store will celebrate by having exclusive sales on Saturday, May 28 until the end of Memorial Day. They will also host an event on Saturday from 11 AM-2 PM. At the event, customers can expect sliders cooked on a Traeger grill, a real owl brought by the Freedom First Wildlife Foundation, and the opportunity to give back to their local Veterans of Foreign Wars.
"We are letting customers fill out placards with a Hero's name they'd like to honor for $1, and at the end of the month we'll be donating all proceeds to the local VFW," Rose said.
Some key products customers can expect to see at the anniversary celebration include “hardware, electrical, plumbing, automotive and home decor, as well as products like Yeti, Scotts, STIHL, Big Green Egg, Milwaukee, Ben Moore, Traeger and Weber.”
Ace has over 5,500 locally owned and operated stores in the world, as well as 14 distribution centers. Ace has been in the hardware game for more than 90 years.
