Of the 26,966 citizens living in New London City in 2019, 21,801 were old enough to vote as of Feb. 11, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 11,487 of those people were female and 10,314 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.

Statistical data for 2020 will be released later this year.
