92 percent of applicants to the University of Connecticut-Avery Point were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Connecticut-Avery Point, 86 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 52 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Groton enrolled 571 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 5.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

100 percent of undergraduates are residents of Connecticut.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (65 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (13 percent).

The school admitted 92 percent of the 959 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 23 percent enrolled.
