On February 17, 2025, Rep. Courtney highlighted his visit with Enfield Police Chief Alaric Fox and Deputy Chief Steven Kaselouskas, acknowledging their work in the largest municipality in the Second District. He noted that they have benefitted from the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program. “In Enfield, Police Chief Alaric Fox, Deputy Chief Steven Kaselouskas, and I recently caught up on the terrific work they are doing in the largest municipality in the Second District.”

On February 19, 2025, Rep. Courtney paid tribute to Colchester’s Jake Finkelstein, a 102-year-old Navy WWII veteran who served as a radioman during the Battle of Okinawa aboard the USS Montauk. Courtney expressed honor in interviewing Finkelstein for the Library of Congress’ Veterans History Project. “Colchester’s Jake Finkelstein is a 102-year-old Navy WWII veteran.”

On February 20, 2025, Rep. Courtney discussed Enfield’s Stowe Early Learning Academy’s reliance on federal Head Start funding for its operations. He mentioned that their funding was temporarily halted due to President Trump’s funding freeze but has since been restored. “Enfield’s Stowe Early Learning Academy provides child care and early learning services to hundreds of families.”
