He mentioned its origins with Congressman William Fitzgerald from Norwich CT and President Franklin Roosevelt’s role in signing it into law 86 years ago. He advocated for Congress to update this act, emphasizing its longstanding impact. “This week is National Apprenticeship Week!”

In another tweet on November 21, 2024, Courtney underscored the significance of apprenticeships as pathways to careers and their role in meeting workforce needs in Connecticut.
