Dismantling Racism: Book Talk & Signing

0Comments

Otis Library, in partnership with the Norwich Race Equity Committee,  will host a book talk and signing with the Rev. Terrlyn L. Curry Avery,  Ph.D. on Monday, September 26, at 5:30pm in the Library’s Community  Room.  She will discuss her new book Dismantling Racism: Healing Separation from the Inside Out.  Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing following the event.

The word racism carries a heavy burden, and the thought of dismantling it has even more weight.  In Dismantling Racism,  Rev. Dr. Curry Avery leads the charge against fear, guilt, and shame  that often come with addressing racism and guides her readers through  the landmines of injustice.

Rev. Dr. Curry Avery is a pastologist (ordained minister and licensed psychologist), TEDx speaker, and author of Sacred Intelligence: The Essence of Sacred, Selfish & Shared Relationships.  She is the host of Dismantle Racism on talkradio.nyc.  You can visit her website at www.sacredintelligence.com.

This program is free and open to the public.
