Connecticut College was ranked 70th out of 271 institutions in the Division III Learfield Directors’ Cup winter standings, according to an announcement on Apr. 3.
The ranking reflects the college’s athletic achievements during the winter season, highlighting its performance among other Division III schools nationwide.
The men’s swimming and diving team contributed significantly to this result, earning Connecticut College a total of 179.0 points after securing a 15th-place finish at the NCAA Championships in March, which added 60.0 points to their score. In earlier competition during the fall, the men’s soccer team reached the Sweet 16 and the women’s cross country team placed 19th nationally, combining for an additional 119.0 points.
Standings for the Learfield Directors’ Cup are based on results from NCAA Championships throughout each academic year across various sports.
The final rankings for this year’s Learfield Directors’ Cup will be released on June 9 after all spring championships have concluded.
