Cheapest regular gas in cities across New London County in week ending Oct. 7

There was one gas station in cities across New London County selling regular gas at the lowest price of $3.47 per gallon in the week ending Oct. 7, according to GasBuddy.com.

The average cost of regular gas in cities within New London County was $3.74 per gallon.

There are 68 gas stations in cities within New London County.

The average price of regular gas in Connecticut was $3.7, compared to $3.75 the week before.

The U.S. government missed the mark when forecasting gas prices for 2022. A short-term outlook published early in 2022 claimed gas rates would fall, when in fact gas rates rose significantly.

The outlook once again suggested that prices would fall in 2023.

Gas data refers to the price of gas when paid for by cash, not credit. Gas stations can charge drivers more for using credit cards due to surcharge fees. This is prohibited in 10 U.S. states.

Data is accurate as of press time, but gas prices have been known to fluctuate on a daily, and even hourly, basis.
